Allied Air


Allied Air is a predominantly Cargo Airline with it's main operating base at Lagos Murtala Muhammed International Airport. The airline operates both scheduled and chartered services in Nigeria and throughout Africa. Allied Air was registered and established in 1998. The airline also took part in the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority's recapitilization criteria and was re-registered for operation in 2007.

On the same day as the tragic Dana Air Crash that killed 147 people, an Allied Air Cargo Plane landing at the Accra Kotoka International Airport overshot the runway and killed 12 people. A boeing 727-200F operating flight DVH-3 overshot the runway, continued through the boundary fence, across a main road and hit a minivan instantly killing 11 people and a cyclist. The crew onboard the Cargo Plane survived the crash.
